On Tuesday 21st March, groups of Year 5 children from across Lumen Learning Trust attended a careers fair at Echelford Primary school. Here is an account written by Lily Maddox from Echelford -

We were greeted when we entered the venue with a leaflet that outlined the event and provided us activities to take part in. First, the Chef was interviewed with questions such as: “What's the most challenging part of your job? Why?” 

We also heard from a Tesco Community Champion, a PR Manager, a Teacher, Veterinary Nurse and a Pharmacist. All of us were split into groups where we had the opportunity to visit different stalls and ask questions.  Everyone enjoyed refreshments while talking to the visitors.

My favourite part was speaking to other schools to see what interests they had.  Year 5 really enjoyed the event.  Many thanks to Mrs. Pearson and Mr. Grimwood from Riverbridge for organising this exciting event.
