This week in Year 6, the children put their presenting skills to the test when articulating a balanced argument to debate the question: Should the lighthouse be destroyed?, drawing on their Power of Reading text: Letters from the Lighthouse and their knowledge of WW2. The children spent time writing their balanced arguments before presenting to a range of their peers across the year group, ensuring they incorporated their Oracy skills to enhance their presentation. In Maths, we have wrapped up our multiplication and division unit with the formal long division method and applied our range of KS2 knowledge to some arithmetic and reasoning questions. In Computing, we continued to explore with our new coding software: Lego Sprite, testing algorithms to achieve our goal.
