Week ending What we have been learning about
10/10/25

In Year 4 this week, we have been using our Oracy skills to listen to, write and perform debates. We have been looking at the Oracy objective: To use more natural and subtle prompts for turn taking such as pausing when looking at your partner after you have finished talking or giving a little nod to say I'm finished. Our debates have been focused on different sections of Iron Man which is our power of reading text. In Maths, we have been consolidating our knowledge on addition and subtraction with different problem solving and reasoning activities. In PSHE, we have been looking at what it means to be a member of a school community and what responsibilities everyone has within a school.
