    National Pupil Assessment Results

Echelford joined the Lumen Learning Trust in October 2013 consequently the pupil assessment results from 2014 onwards are under the leadership of Lumen Learning Trust.

Despite the significantly raised expectations of the ‘new’ Curriculum introduced in 2014, we have either matched or exceeded National Standards in all areas of our provision.

    Reception
At the end of Reception, children are expected to achieve what is described as a 'Good Level of Development'. (National in brackets).

    Year 2
At the end of Year 2 children’s skills in Reading, Writing and Maths are assessed using national Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs).  Children sitting the Year 2 SATs tests in May 2017 were the only the second cohort to be taught and assessed under the new, more challenging National Curriculum.  The expected standard from 2016 onwards is higher than that expected previously therefore we are particularly proud of our results.   Results are no longer reported as levels; consequently, figures for 2016 onwards are not comparable to those for previous years.  (National % shown in brackets)

    Year 6
At the end of Year 6 children’s skills in Reading, Writing, English Punctuation, Spelling & Grammar, and Maths are again assessed using national Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs).  Children sitting the Year 6 SATs tests in May 2017 were also only the second cohort to be taught and assessed under the new, more challenging National Curriculum.  This means the expected standard from 2016 onwards is higher than that expected previously.  We are also proud that so many of our children met these new, much more demanding expectations.  As with the Year 2 SATs, results are no longer reported as levels; consequently, figures for 2016 onwards are again not comparable to those for previous years.
